Beacon Lighting Group Ltd reported strong financial results for H1 FY2025. Group sales were $252.2m, an increase of 2.6%, and underlying sales were $250.9m, an increase of 8.0%. Company store comparative sales increased by 7.2%, and online sales grew by 50.6% to $16.2m. Group NPAT was $22.2m, an increase of 38.5%, while underlying NPAT was $19.1m, an increase of 16.8%. The company made a significant profit from the sale and leaseback of the Parkinson Distribution Centre in Queensland, and also purchased the Beacon Lighting franchise store at Myaree (WA) and the premium lighting design store, Custom Lighting in Malvern (VIC). The company managed the closure of Beacon Energy Solutions and established a strong net cash position.
The company expects the positive trading momentum from H1 FY2025 to continue into H2 FY2025. The company's focus on partnering with electricians, builders, architects, and interior designers for Beacon Trade will continue to be a priority, and the company plans to open new stores and expand existing stores in H2 FY2025.
