Greenwing Resources Ltd (ASX:GW1) has completed and compiled the results of its auger drilling program at the 100% owned Andapa Graphite Project in Madagascar. The program comprised 464 auger holes totalling 4,027 metres, showing shallow regolith-hosted (weathered) graphite mineralisation. The auger results have confirmed continuous graphite mineralisation across two graphitic units, with Unit 1 extending over a strike distance of approximately 1.2 km and Unit 2 over 2.2 km. Significant weighted average grades were returned, including 4.81% FC over 9.0 m (including 5.54% FC over 7.0 m), 4.39% FC over 11.0 m (including 5.18% FC over 6.0 m), and 4.13% FC over 12.0 metres (including 5.33% FC over 8.5 m). The Andapa Graphite Project is located 60 km from Madagascar's only deep-water port at Tamatave and in close proximity to the Graphmada Large Flake Graphite Mine. The auger program has provided a platform for a comprehensive follow-up conventional drill program.
Greenwing will continue to progress the Andapa Graphite Project given the existing mining lease, proximity to Graphmada and relatively short haul to port. The company looks forward to updating the market further on its broader portfolio of assets in Madagascar and the implementation of the country's new Mining Code.
