Prestal Holdings Limited reported its financial results for the half year ended 31 December 2024 (H1 FY25). Revenue from continuing operations decreased 27.6% to $12.135m, while loss after tax from continuing operations decreased 82.3% to $3.526m. The company recognized a non-cash impairment of $5.740m (net of tax $4.305m) on the Hampers with Bite brand name, reflecting the risks and uncertainties present in the market, the sustained change in the consumer market environment, and the continued decline in revenues. The Group managed to achieve key operational objectives, including a reduction in freight costs by 18% and the successful relocation to a new warehouse in Altona North, Victoria. The decision to close the Fitzroy office and consolidate all staff into the new warehouse is expected to save approximately $120k per annum and enable increased collaboration, agility, and efficient work practices. Overall, the Group continued to face challenging market conditions in H1 FY25 as interest rates remained high and cost of living increases impacted consumer and business spending.
