Core Lithium Ltd has received final assay results from the 2024 drilling program at the Shoobridge Project, which indicate the potential for a large gold system with a substantial proportion of near surface oxide mineralisation. The drilling program, which included 27 RC holes and 3 diamond holes, tested an 800m strike length of the previously identified 4.5km gold in soil anomaly. Noteworthy new results include 46m @ 0.75g/t Au from 3m, 34m @ 0.97g/t Au from 49m, and several higher-grade intersections. The gold mineralisation is associated with an anticlinal structure and a network of quartz veins, breccia and faults, similar to the geological setting at the nearby Cosmo Deeps and Union Reefs gold mines. The company plans to conduct an internal desktop evaluation of the parameters required to support an economic development of the shallow oxide gold system, which could potentially be amenable to bulk open pit mining methods. This will inform the next phase of exploration, which may include additional drilling along the 4.5km gold trend, infill drilling to test the extent and continuity of high-grade zones, and evaluation of the oxide and supergene gold potential. The company also plans to conduct regional, low-cost exploration programs to assess new targets within the broader Shoobridge tenement area, which remains largely unexplored.
