Follow-up Drilling Commences at Edjudina Range Gold Prospect
- Infill and step-out aircore drilling has commenced at the emerging Edjudina Range Gold Prospect
- Recent drilling has returned results up to 10m @ 0.96g/t Au and 5m @ 1.17g/t Au
- Mineralisation is hosted in silicified iron-oxide altered schist near a magnetic contact
Solstice Minerals Ltd (ASX: SLS) has commenced infill and step-out aircore drilling at the emerging Edjudina Range Gold Prospect, a new gold surface identified below ~20m of transported cover within the Yarri Gold Project in Western Australia's Eastern Goldfields. Recent reconnaissance aircore drilling has returned highly encouraging results, including 2m @ 3.17g/t Au EOH, 10m @ 0.96g/t Au within an anomalous zone of 15m @ 0.70g/t Au EOH, and 5m @ 1.17g/t Au from 76m within 8m @ 0.88g/t Au EOH. The gold mineralisation is hosted in a distinctive strongly iron-oxide altered schist close to a distinct magnetic contact and is supported by arsenic and copper pathfinder geochemistry in the regolith profile. Regionally, the Edjudina Range Gold Prospect is the stratigraphic equivalent of the advanced Statesman Well Gold Prospect, located 9km to the southeast, and in a similar litho-structural setting to Bluetooth, some 23km to the northwest. The current aircore program includes additional 200m spaced step-out lines, and strategic infill drilling at 100m spacing to further define the mineralised surface. Solstice continues to work-up further quality gold targets within its extensive 1,650km2 Yarri Project, with a focus on testing positions that offer potential for 'stand-alone' scale, as well as RC drilling of proven prospects to delineate near-surface mineralised material.
The Company looks forward to reporting on the results of continuing work along this emerging gold trend at the Edjudina Range Gold Prospect.
