ASX Announces Long Term Suspended Entities
- List of entities suspended for over 3 months
- Deadlines for lodging outstanding reports and resuming trading
- Entities may be removed if deadlines not met
ASX has released an announcement detailing a list of entities that have been suspended from trading for more than 3 months. The announcement provides information on the outstanding periodic reports that each entity has failed to lodge, the 1-year deadline for lodging the oldest outstanding report, and the 2-year deadline for the entity to execute its plans to resume trading to ASX's satisfaction. If an entity does not meet these deadlines, it will be removed from the official list, usually effective from the open of trading on the first trading day after the deadline date. ASX recommends that long-term suspended entities provide periodic (at least quarterly) disclosures to keep the market and security holders informed of their status and plans to resume trading. The announcement also explains ASX's removal policy for long-term suspended entities and notes that reinstatement is not automatic, even if the suspension was at the entity's request. ASX must be satisfied that the reasons for the ongoing suspension have been addressed and that the entity complies with the Listing Rules at the point of reinstatement.
