Atlas Pearls Announces Successful Kobe Auction

Atlas Pearls Ltd (ASX: ATP) has provided an update on its recent auction held in Kobe, Japan. The Company presented 70,592 pearls and sold 58,345 pearls at an average price of $129/piece, which was an increase from the last auction in December 2024. The total revenue from the auction was $7.5 million. Atlas uses an internal Index Point system to assess the quality of its pearls, and in this auction, the average index per piece was 32, compared to 21 at the previous auction in December 2024. The $/index point was $4.00, compared to $3.50 at the December auction, indicating improved pricing. The Company also noted that approximately 12,000 pearls were withheld from this auction and are expected to realise better value through other sales channels. Atlas Pearls continues to focus on maximizing the value of each pearl produced, including expanding its customer base, geographic reach, and diversifying its sales channels beyond the auction system. The Company is also upgrading its showroom and Pearl Experience Centre at its farm in North Bali, which is expected to open on May 1st, 2025.
Atlas Pearls continues to be committed to maximizing the value of each and every pearl that is produced. The Company is developing a Sales and Marketing Strategy through to FY30, aimed at creating multiple selling opportunities along the distribution chain and across a range of diversified market channels, while also optimizing the movement of pearls through various jurisdictions with different import and export regulations.
