Monash IVF Responds to ASX Aware Letter
- Incident at Brisbane clinic due to human error
- Internal investigation found incident isolated, not material to FY2025 performance
- Independent investigation ongoing, findings not yet available
Monash IVF Group Limited (MVF) has responded to an ASX aware letter it received on 16 April 2025 regarding an incident that occurred at its Brisbane clinic. The incident involved the embryo of one patient being incorrectly transferred to another patient, resulting in the birth of a child. MVF's internal investigation found the incident was an isolated case of human error, and the company does not currently consider it material to its FY2025 financial performance. MVF has disclosed the incident to the relevant assisted reproductive technology (ART) regulators and voluntarily reported it to the new Queensland ART regulator. The company has also commissioned an independent investigation into the incident, the findings of which are not yet available. MVF states it did not make an earlier announcement about the incident as it did not consider the information to be price-sensitive under Listing Rules 3.1 and 3.1A. The company confirms it is in compliance with the Listing Rules and that its responses have been authorized and approved in accordance with its continuous disclosure policy.
