Brightstar Resources Ltd (ASX: BTR) has reported a strong operational performance at its Second Fortune Underground Mine, with 28kt @ 3.31 g/t Au for ~3koz Au mined during the quarter. The company also received key approvals to commence mining at the Fish Underground Mine, with portal development beginning in early April and first ore production and revenue generation scheduled for the June quarter. Brightstar expects Fish to materially increase its current ~20kozpa run rate from Second Fortune and become its second high-grade underground operation. Exploration activities continued during the quarter, with 193 RC holes drilled for 23,500 metres across the company's Sandstone, Menzies and Laverton assets. Highlights include high-grade intercepts at Second Fortune and Lord Byron. Brightstar also made good progress on the Definitive Feasibility Study for the consolidated Laverton and Menzies Gold Projects, targeting delivery in the first half of 2025. The company was also added to the S&P/ASX All Ordinaries Index during the quarter.

Brightstar expects the commencement of the Fish Underground Mine to materially increase its current ~20kozpa run rate from Second Fortune and become its second high-grade underground operation from the second half of 2025.

Brightstar is placed to execute on its growth trajectory with ongoing and increasing operational cashflows, no hedging in place and an enviable portfolio of near-term development and growth stage assets. The company sees real potential for the Sandstone district to support a tier-one scale open pit greenfields development in the coming years.
