Resolute Mining to acquire Doropo and ABC projects in Côte d'Ivoire
- Transformative acquisition adding a high-quality development-stage project in a premier mining jurisdiction
- Compelling consideration structure with deferred payments
- Doropo is a robust 10+ year high-margin gold project with significant potential upside
- ABC Project provides exciting exploration opportunities within Resolute's project pipeline
Resolute Mining has announced the acquisition of AngloGold Ashanti's Doropo and ABC projects in Côte d'Ivoire. The transaction is structured with a combination of cash and contingent consideration, as well as the transfer of Resolute's Guinean permits to AngloGold Ashanti. The Doropo project is a well-advanced development asset with a 1.88Moz reserve at 1.53g/t, and the ABC project provides significant exploration upside with a 2.16Moz inferred resource. The acquisition is expected to be highly accretive, adding tangible near-term growth potential to Resolute's production profile, which could exceed 500koz per year at an attractive cost base. The transaction aligns with Resolute's diversification strategy, increasing its exposure to the premier mining jurisdiction of Côte d'Ivoire. Resolute is confident in its ability to fund the acquisition and development of Doropo from existing liquidity, cash flows, and project financing. The company is committed to rapidly advancing Doropo towards production in a safe and expedited manner, creating value for all stakeholders.
Resolute's production guidance for 2025 is 275,000-300,000 oz at an All-in Sustaining Cost (AISC) of $1,650-1,750/oz.
