Full Summary

Stanmore Resources Limited (ASX: SMR) has released its maiden Reserves Statement for the Isaac Downs Extension Project metallurgical coal mine (the Project) in accordance with the JORC Code (2012). The declaration of 52Mt of ROM Coal Reserves, inclusive of 34Mt of Marketable Coal Reserves, is an important milestone for the Project, providing further confidence around reserve definition and the various options to ensure the company maximises returns to shareholders. The Project has a high reserve confidence with 75% Proved Coal Reserves and 25% Probable Coal Reserves, and a +20-year mine life at up to ~4 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) ROM at a Prime ROM strip ratio of ~7.9:1 bcm/t. The Project produces two main products - a 10.5% ash PCI metallurgical coal as the primary product, and a ~19% average ash thermal coal as the secondary product. The Reserve assessment was completed by Palaris Australia Pty Ltd, with the Resource assessment completed by JB Mining Pty Ltd. The Project utilises existing CHPP, dragline and coal haul road infrastructure, requiring low project capital. Environmental, social and approvals risks have been identified and considered in the project design, with an appropriate forward work plan to secure approval for the Project.
