EDU Holdings Limited, a leading tertiary education group, has announced continued growth in total student enrolments for Term 2, 2025 in its vocational education and training (VET) business, Australian Learning Group (ALG). Total student enrolments for ALG in Term 2, 2025 were 1,596, a 25% increase compared to the previous corresponding period. However, new student enrolments for Term 2, 2025 were 148, a 32% decrease compared to both the previous corresponding period and the prior term (Term 1, 2025). The decrease in new student enrolments reflects broader VET sector trends, including reduced visa grants. Between 2023 and 2025 (financial year-to-date to the end of March), the grant rate for VET sector visas dropped from 77.5% to 57.4%, and the volume of visa grants for VET students reduced by 56.7%, from 114,821 to 49,750. EDU intends to report 2025 enrolment numbers for ALG and its higher education business, Ikon Institute, on a regular schedule throughout the year.
