Orthocell Expands US Remplir Rollout with 12 Distributors
- Orthocell has appointed 12 US distributors for its nerve repair product Remplir
- Distributors cover 21 US states, providing extensive reach and access to surgeons and hospitals
- Rapid expansion of distributor network demonstrates confidence in Remplir product and sales potential
Orthocell has announced the signing of an additional 8 distributors for its flagship nerve repair product Remplir, taking the total number of US distributors to 12. This is well ahead of the company's previous target of 10 distributors by June 2025. The new distributors are experienced nerve specialists with operations spanning 21 US states, providing Orthocell with extensive reach and access to surgeons and hospitals. The rapid expansion of the distributor network demonstrates the quality of the Remplir product and the distributors' confidence in being able to generate strong sales. Orthocell's internal sales, marketing and medical affairs team remain focused on the Remplir rollout, including training sales representatives, securing hospital approvals, expanding its key opinion leader network, and undertaking product roadshows. With the company's existing cash reserves of $31.7 million, it is well-funded to continue broadening its commercial footprint and growing revenues in the US and other markets. Remplir is a collagen wrap used in nerve repair surgery to assist surgeons in improving outcomes. In addition to the US, the product is currently approved for sale in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Canada, with regulatory applications for the EU and UK on track to be submitted in the next 6-12 months.
Orthocell is well positioned to achieve first sales of Remplir in the US$1.6 billion nerve repair market in the near term. The company expects the expanded sales infrastructure to drive a step change in revenue moving forward.
