Ava Risk Group Limited (ASX: AVA) has secured a contract with GAIL (India) Limited to deploy its market-leading fibre sensing technology on the Kochi-Koottanad-Bangalore-Mangalore gas pipeline in India. The contract, valued at A$0.9 million, will see Ava's Aura Ai-X Distributed Acoustic Sensing technology installed along the 1,104km pipeline to monitor and identify threats such as heavy equipment movement, jack hammer operation, mechanized drilling, excavation, and precise fibre break location detection. Delivery is expected to occur in the current quarter and is not subject to any material conditions. This contract builds upon Ava's long-standing relationship with GAIL, with the company's technology previously deployed across multiple operations including at Vadodara, Bengaluru, and Jamnagar-Loni. Ava CEO Mal Maginnis commented that the contract validates Ava's position as the preferred technology provider for critical infrastructure protection in the energy sector and demonstrates the trust GAIL places in Ava's ability to deliver reliable solutions that protect vital national assets.
