Kachi Lithium Brine Resource Grows to 11.1 Mt LCE
- Measured Resource increases by over 1.1 Mt LCE to 4.2 Mt LCE
- Measured and Indicated Resource grows by 0.9 Mt LCE to 8.2 Mt LCE
- Total Resource now stands at 11.1 Mt LCE over 275 sq km
Lake Resources N.L. has provided an updated resource estimate for its Kachi lithium brine project in Argentina, incorporating the latest drilling and testing results. The key highlights include:- The Measured Resource has grown by more than 1.1 Mt of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) to 4.2 Mt LCE, defined to a depth of 600 meters over 83 square kilometres.- The Measured and Indicated Resource has grown by approximately 10% or 0.9 Mt LCE to 8.2 Mt LCE.- The updated total resource is 11.1 Mt of LCE over 275 square kilometres.- The results from the latest drillholes, K24D41 and K25D44, in the southern sector of the salar indicate a higher-grade lithium zone.- The updated geologic model and hydrogeologic data will be used to update the Ore Reserve estimate and related feasibility studies.- Upgrades to Lilac's lithium extraction technology will allow for a more optimized wellfield design in the upcoming Ore Reserve update.- The Kachi project has shown continual increases in mineral resource estimates since the maiden resource was announced in 2018, demonstrating the high level of confidence in the chemistry and continuity of the brine resource.
The updated Measured and Indicated Resource of 8.2 Mt LCE will be used to support forthcoming updates to the Ore Reserve estimate and related feasibility studies for the Kachi project.
