Exceptional Grades from Final Gorno Channel Samples
Key Points
  • High-grade Zn-Pb-Ag assays from mineralised development outside of current Mineral Resource Estimation footprint
  • Sampling program identified new areas of mineralisation that can be added to Gorno's inventory
  • Results reinforce the prospectivity of Gorno and support potential increase in Mineral Resource Estimation
Full Summary

Altamin Ltd announced the results from the fourth and final batch of assays from the 2024 channel sampling program at the Gorno Project. The program targeted areas of mineralisation identified during structural and geological mapping in newly accessible underground workings outside of the existing Mineral Resource Estimation (MRE) footprint. The latest sampling covered two main target areas on the Parina mine level and sublevels in the far east of Pian Bracca. Several high-grade assays were returned along the development drive 1025L, situated underneath the current Ore Block Model, indicating the mineralisation continues down dip and closing a prospective gap in the current resource. Assay results from Pian Bracca North, beneath the historic Pian Bracca stoping area, revealed that Pian Bracca-style mineralisation continues to the east and north of the existing MRE, with particularly impressive high-grade results on sublevels spanning across mine levels 1020 to 1030m. These new assays, combined with previously released results, provide a strong indication that mineralisation continues much further than originally envisaged in the Pian Bracca North target area. The results of this phase 1 channelling program have significantly improved the understanding of the geological and rheological controls on mineralisation, further optimising future exploration programs.
