First RC Hole Hits 20m @ 1.02g/t Au at Edjudina Range
- First-ever RC drilling at the Edjudina Range gold discovery returned 20m @ 1.02g/t Au
- Results support previous aircore drill intercepts including 2m @ 3.17g/t Au and 4m @ 1.53g/t Au
- Gold mineralization is associated with quartz veining, carbonate alteration and arsenic anomalism
Solstice Minerals has reported excellent results from the first-ever Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling at the Edjudina Range gold discovery in Western Australia. The initial RC hole, EDRRC001, returned 20m @ 1.02g/t Au from 36m down-hole, providing strong support for previous aircore drill intercepts in the same area, including 2m @ 3.17g/t Au to end of hole and 4m @ 1.53g/t Au. The gold mineralization in EDRRC001 is coincident with a zone of iron and manganese-stained quartz veins, carbonate alteration and arsenic pathfinder anomalism within oxidized mafic-ultramafic schist. Similar veining and alteration are associated with gold anomalism along the current 1,000m strike length of aircore drilling, and the system remains open along strike in both directions. Solstice has also drilled two RC holes at the Statesman Well and Bluetooth prospects as part of a significant regional drilling campaign, with assay results for these prospects anticipated soon. The Company is preparing for immediate follow-up RC drilling at Edjudina Range, including potential scissor holes to confirm the orientation of the mineralized zone and step-out holes along strike.
Solstice is preparing for immediate follow-up RC drilling at the Edjudina Range prospect, including potential scissor holes to confirm the orientation of the mineralized zone and step-out holes along strike. The Company is also working up an expanded aircore program to follow-up open-ended mineralization on existing drill sections and step-out along the prospective litho-structural corridor. Assay results for the Statesman Well and Bluetooth prospects are also anticipated soon as part of a significant stream of news flow expected as rigs are remobilized in the coming weeks.
