Full Summary

Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited (SCEE Group) has announced that its Heyday subsidiary has been awarded a range of projects totalling over $70 million. This includes two major work packages on the Western Sydney Airport Stand Alone Facilities Project, where Heyday's scope is to design and construct the electrical, communications, ICT, security, and audio-visual systems, as well as provide electric vehicle chargers and photovoltaic systems. Additionally, Heyday has been awarded two further packages of electrical works at a hyperscale data centre in Sydney's west, bringing the total number of packages awarded to Heyday at this site to six. The works on these new packages are due to commence immediately and are scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2026 for the data centre and the first quarter of 2027 for the airport project.

Outlook

SCEE Group Managing Director Graeme Dunn commented that the Western Sydney Airport award will bring the total number of packages given to the group at this infrastructure project to eleven, with five going to Heyday and six to MDE. He stated that the company still believes there will be many other opportunities at the airport and in the adjacent Aerotropolis region.
