Top End Energy Advances Beetaloo Exploration
- Updated work programs to capitalize on Beetaloo development
- Record flow testing results from Tamboran Resources
- Strategic position in Beetaloo with infrastructure advantage
Top End Energy (ASX: TEE) is advancing its Northern Territory portfolio as the Beetaloo Sub-basin enters a new phase of multi-well development. Through its wholly owned subsidiary McArthur Energy Pty Ltd, the company has updated work programs designed to capitalize on the growing momentum from ongoing appraisal and development activity in the region. The recent record flow testing result reported by Tamboran Resources, with a 30-day initial production flow rate on par with U.S. Marcellus shale benchmarks, reinforces the Beetaloo's emergence as a globally competitive resource play. Top End Energy's exploration permits, EP 153 and EP 154, are immediately north of Tamboran Resources' EP98, with a strategic infrastructure advantage as they are positioned adjacent to the Amadeus Gas Pipeline. The company also has an additional permit, EP 257, under application, which will form part of the next phase of exploration in the Sub-basin. In addition, Top End Energy holds a strategic position within the South Nicholson Basin, an analogue to the Beetaloo Sub-basin play type, with EP 144 offering potential connections to the Proterozoic shale plays of the Lawn Hill Platform and the Velkerri formations of the Beetaloo Sub-basin.
As activity accelerates during the second half of 2025, Top End Energy is well-positioned to advance its adjacent exploration permits in step with this next phase of Beetaloo basin development.
