HighCom Limited (ASX: HCL) has announced the successful recommissioning of its XTclave system, a proprietary ultra-high isostatic pressure consolidation technology, at its manufacturing facility in Columbus, Ohio. The recommissioning process, which took 18 months, has established a robust foundation for the company to initiate production of a new generation of globally competitive and highly sought-after products, while enhancing operational efficiencies and improving product margins. Key enhancements include the integration of a new water-based cooling system and the construction of a larger pressure vessel, which has doubled the original capacity and achieved ASME certification. This upgraded vessel enables the XTclave to complete a minimum of three production cycles per shift, with an estimated annual output of up to 40,000 ballistic plates. The expanded capacity and versatility of the new pressure vessel now allow for the processing of a broader range of products, including ballistic plates, helmets, shields, complex geometries, and specialized applications such as aviation and vehicle armour. HighCom's initial commercial focus for XTclave is directed toward the development of a new 'Superior' range of ultra-lightweight ballistic plates, both with and without ceramic components, including female-form body armour and rifle-rated helmets. These advanced products will undergo a comprehensive refinement process over the coming months, with customer orders expected to commence in the second quarter of fiscal year 2026 (Q2 FY26), and initial deliveries by the end of that quarter. Concurrently, HighCom will recommence production of select XTclave product lines previously manufactured in Adelaide, South Australia, for commercial availability in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026 (Q1 FY26).

HighCom expects to commence customer orders for its new 'Superior' range of ballistic products in Q2 FY26, with initial deliveries by the end of that quarter. The company will also recommence production of select XTclave product lines in Q1 FY26.
