High Grade Tin Continues to Extend Queen Hill
- Drilling has continued to intersect high-grade tin mineralisation at the northern extent of the 2023 Mineral Resource Estimate
- Drillhole ZQ186 returned 6.3m @ 2.2% Sn from 369.3m including 2.0m @ 2.81% Sn
- The results support the potential for continuation of the Heemskirk tin system and conversion from Inferred to Indicated material
Stellar Resources Limited (ASX: SRZ) has reported further drilling results from the Queen Hill deposit at its Heemskirk Tin Project in Western Tasmania. The program comprises a 24-hole (~9,500m) diamond drilling campaign focused on infill and extensions to the 2023 Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). This release reports assay results from three holes drilled at Queen Hill (ZQ179, ZQ183 and ZQ186). Drillhole ZQ186 was drilled at the northern end of Queen Hill below previous intersections and successfully returned 6.3m @ 2.2% Sn from 369.3m, including 2.0m @ 2.81% Sn. This deeper intersection has a larger % Sn grade x thickness than the previous intersection up-dip, providing encouragement for further deep drilling. The results support the potential for continuation of the Heemskirk tin system and importantly conversion from Inferred to Indicated material in the upcoming MRE update. A wedge hole off drillhole ZQ186 is underway to further test the mineralisation. Stellar is planning an extension to the current drill program given the recent success. Prefeasibility work is also progressing well including ore sorting test work of material from the Queen Hill deposit.
Stellar aims to become a producer of 3,000 to 3,500 tpa of payable tin over the first 6 to 10 years of production at Heemskirk. The Prefeasibility studies are focused on advancing towards this goal by improving upon the base case scoping study of 1,900 tpa over a 12-year mine life.
