FirstWave Cloud Technology Limited (ASX: FCT) has announced that it has reached an agreement with Claro Dominican Republic to license its NMIS v9 software suite. Claro DR is the dominant telecommunications provider in the Dominican Republic and is part of the América Móvil, S.A.B. de C.V. conglomerate, which also includes Mexico's leading telecommunications company Telmex. Under the terms of the agreement, Claro DR will pay an upfront licensing fee of $USD250,000 (~$AUD400,000). This license fee is 100% gross profit and does not require any delivery, support or professional services. FirstWave's NMIS 9 technology will enable Claro to take advantage of the upcoming release of FirstWave's Model Context Protocol for AI, which is currently in testing. It also provides Claro with the recently released Message Bus technology, which facilitates high availability and high scale use of FirstWave software. FirstWave's Managing Director, Danny Maher, stated that North America and Latin America are key strategic territories for the company and that he looks forward to bringing more good news from the region and updating the market on their progress.
