Boda-Kaiser Regional Exploration Update
- Exploration continues around Boda-Kaiser with drilling testing extensions to mineralisation
- Promising results at Boda 2-3 with high-grade hydrothermal breccia intersections
- Drilling at Driell Creek prospect provides insights into the geological architecture
Alkane Resources has announced further results from its drilling program at the Company's Northern Molong Porphyry Project (NMPP) in Central New South Wales. The program tested the highest priority targets across the tenement package. At Boda 2-3, two diamond core holes were drilled to test the vertical extent of a high-grade hydrothermal breccia, with significant intersections including 53.3m grading 1.21g/t AuEq from 1059.7m. Three RC holes also tested the southern extensions to the Boda 2-4 resource, with further mineralisation identified. At the Driell Creek prospect, located 3km northwest of Kaiser, four RC and three diamond core drill holes were completed, providing insights into the geological architecture of the prospect. Subsequent modelling has determined that much of the previous drilling did not test the prospective block of altered volcanics that hosts the mineralisation. Planned regional exploration in the NMPP for the next 12 months includes a MobileMT survey to define new porphyry systems, as well as further target generation work and drilling to test extensions to Boda-Kaiser and the Driell Creek and Haddington prospects.
Planned regional exploration in the NMPP for the next 12 months includes a MobileMT survey over the NMPP to define new porphyry systems. Other activities include target generation work comprising mapping, soil sampling, and air-core drilling. Any deeper drilling will focus on further testing the Driell Creek and Haddington prospects as well as extensions to Boda-Kaiser, including the area between the two deposits.
