Emperor Energy Ltd (ASX: EMP) has requested an immediate trading halt on its ordinary shares quoted on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). The trading halt has been requested pending the release of an announcement by the company relating to a capital raise. In accordance with ASX Listing Rule 17.1, the company has stated that the trading halt is necessary to assist in managing its continuous disclosure obligations, as it expects to make an announcement to the market regarding the capital raising. The trading halt will remain in place until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Thursday, 10 July 2025, or when the announcement regarding the capital raise is released to the market. The company has confirmed that it expects to make the announcement before the market open on Thursday, 10 July 2025. Emperor Energy Ltd has stated that it is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted or of any further information necessary to inform the market about the trading halt.
