AnteoTech Achieves Key Technical Milestone for Ultranode Anode
- 890 cycles with 80% capacity retention for 70% Silicon Ultranode™ X anode
- Ultranode™ technology can deliver step change in battery performance, cost, and sustainability
- Expanded Ultranode™ portfolio tailored for diverse battery applications across EVs, drones, power tools, and wearables
AnteoTech Ltd (ASX:ADO), a leader in high-performance high silicon anodes for Lithium-ion Batteries, has announced that a key battery performance milestone has been achieved. The company has achieved 890 cycles with 80% capacity retention for a 70% Silicon Ultranode™ X anode, with 1,070 cycles at 70% capacity also achieved. The Ultranode™ technology can deliver a step change in battery performance as well as cost and sustainability benefits. AnteoTech's expanded Ultranode™ technology portfolio, announced in May 2025, can be tailored to suit diverse battery applications across EVs, drones, power tools, and other specialty batteries including wearables. The Ultranode™ technology targets over 30% increase in energy density compared to traditional graphite anodes, enabling benefits such as driving range extensions in EVs, smaller battery sizes in consumer applications, and longer runtimes for miniature batteries in medical devices. AnteoTech offers three Ultranode™ configurations - Ultranode™ 95 for high energy, low cycle-life applications; Ultranode™ 70 for medium energy and medium cycle-life applications; and Ultranode™ X for high energy, high cycle-life applications such as EVs. The company has worked closely with Mercedes-Benz, completing intensive testing and gaining valuable insights, and has also announced an Ultranode™ technology evaluation by Wyon AG for use in high-precision medical device batteries.
AnteoTech is targeting further improvements to deliver 1,000 cycles at 80% capacity retention for its Ultranode™ X anode technology.
AnteoTech is ready to enable tailored high silicon anode formulations, with sustainability benefits, to Lithium-ion Battery manufacturing customers globally, not just for EVs but for UAS and 3C customers as well. The company has gained valuable insights into the silicon supply market and can bring this expertise to customers as they transition to higher silicon anodes.
