IP survey identifies 4km strike potential at Anabama Project
- Encouraging IP survey results highlight 4km strike potential along the Anabama-Redan Shear Zone
- Chargeability anomalism correlates well with known copper-gold mineralization from historic drilling
- Additional IP survey lines planned to further delineate the target area
Red Hill Minerals has completed an Induced Polarisation (IP) survey at the Anabama Project in South Australia, which has identified a 4km strike potential along the prospective Anabama-Redan Shear Zone. The survey results are highly encouraging, with chargeability anomalism traced for over four kilometres along the shear zone. Areas of highest chargeability are yet to be drill tested. Two of the survey lines were designed to acquire data over known mineralization from historic drilling, and the results show excellent correlation between areas of elevated chargeability and anomalous copper and gold intercepts. Importantly, chargeability anomalism also occurs away from existing drillholes, effectively doubling the strike length of the target from existing shallow drilling. A follow-up five-line IP survey has commenced to extend and infill the chargeable anomalism and to delineate the southern extent of the shear zone. In parallel, a Native Title Agreement has been finalized, enabling the commencement of heritage surveys in preparation for first pass drill testing.
Additional IP survey lines are in progress, and the final processed data is expected to be received in late August. RC drill planning is also underway.
