EcoGraf Provides Quarterly Update on Battery Anode Materials Business
- Epanko Graphite Mine funding progressing with KfW IPEX-Bank and German government support
- EcoGraf HFfree® Purification Facility plans advance, including US DoD funding proposal
- Mechanical Shaping Facility development in Tanzania supported by EU
EcoGraf Limited has provided an update on its activities and cash flow for the quarter ended 30 June 2025. Key highlights include progress on the Epanko Graphite Mine funding, with KfW IPEX-Bank mandated to obtain import credit cover and arrange a senior debt facility of up to US$105 million. The German government has provided positive feedback on the project's eligibility for the UFK program, which promotes high environmental and social standards. The company also hosted a visit by EU representatives to the Epanko site, with the EU exploring support for the project's development, including financing for a Mechanical Shaping Facility in Tanzania to produce spherical graphite. On the downstream side, EcoGraf received positive feedback from the US Department of Defense on a white paper submission for up to US$76.3 million in award funding to establish an HFfree® Purification Facility in the US. The company also made progress on intellectual property, with IP Australia granting a second HFfree® purification patent and the company filing a request to amend its Australian patent application.
EcoGraf is evaluating expansion of the Epanko Graphite Mine beyond the current planned stage 1 development, based on the project's substantial existing mineral resource and anticipated future exploration success.
