Sybil update - High-grade Au samples, drilling to commence
- Diamond drilling to commence at Francis Creek in August 2025
- Excellent rock chip results from Francis Creek East, Francis Creek, Blue Range and Burdekin Veins
- Drone topographic survey completed, refining geological model and drill planning
Sunshine Metals has completed field validation at four prospects and is to commence diamond drilling at the Sybil project in late August 2025. Assays have returned high-grade gold results from rock chip sampling, including 23.40g/t Au and 16.15g/t Au from the undrilled Francis Creek East prospect, and 12.45g/t Au, 11.20g/t Au, 7.32g/t Au and 6.92g/t Au from Francis Creek. Drilling will comprise 16 shallow diamond holes (~1,000m) testing the A and Main Vein targets at Francis Creek. A high-resolution drone topographic survey has also been completed, and the detailed topography and accompanying high-resolution air photo are being used to finalize drill planning. The Sybil project is located 135km west of Townsville and ~140km north of Charters Towers, and is analogous to the nearby Pajingo epithermal system which has produced ~4Moz of gold. Sunshine has also highlighted several other prospective areas within the Sybil tenure, including Quartz Ridge, Francis Creek East, Burdekin Veins, Blue Range, Pinnacles and Lassiters, all of which have returned encouraging results from initial fieldwork.
Sunshine has a busy period ahead, including ongoing Au study at Liontown, drilling commencing at Sybil in August 2025, and the release of Liontown Au metallurgy results and a Resource upgrade in August-September 2025.
