 Metallurgical Results Support Tuckanarra Development
Key Points
  • Excellent results from preliminary metallurgical testwork on fresh rock ore
  • Total LeachWELL recoveries typically 95-97% across oxide and fresh rock samples
  • High recoveries and low tail grades indicate Tuckanarra mineralisation will respond well to cyanide processing
Full Summary

Odyssey Gold Ltd announced excellent results from a program of preliminary metallurgical testwork undertaken as part of the Technical Study for the Tuckanarra Gold Project. The testwork focused on understanding the metallurgical characteristics of fresh rock ore, particularly sulphide associated mineralisation, in addition to the previously tested oxide and transitional material. LeachWELL testing on 37 composite samples from the Highway, Cable, Bollard and Bottle Dump deposits showed total recoveries typically in the range of 95-97% for both oxide and fresh rock samples, with the lowest recovery at 92% in a low-grade sample. The presence of logged sulphide or high sulphide content did not negatively impact gold reporting to the LeachWELL solution. These results are highly encouraging and indicate the Tuckanarra mineralisation will respond well to cyanide hydrometallurgical processing, even for high sulphide samples. The company is pleased that the initial sighter testwork on the fresh ores points to very good recoveries, which augurs well for future exploration and potential exploitation of deeper ore sources.
