Fortescue Ltd has reported its FY25 full year results, highlighting continued operational excellence and a strong financial performance. The company achieved record iron ore shipments of 198.4 million tonnes, a 4% increase from the prior year. Hematite C1 costs decreased by 1% to US$17.99 per wet metric tonne, demonstrating the company's disciplined cost management. Underlying EBITDA was US$7.9 billion, with an EBITDA margin of 51%. Net profit after tax (NPAT) was US$3.4 billion, and earnings per share (EPS) was US$1.10 (A$1.69). The company generated US$6.5 billion in net cash flow from operating activities and US$2.6 billion in free cash flow after investing US$3.9 billion in capital expenditure. Fortescue's balance sheet remains strong, with a cash balance of US$4.3 billion and net debt of US$1.1 billion at the end of June 2025. The company has declared a fully franked final dividend of A$0.60 per share, bringing the total dividends for FY25 to A$1.10 per share, representing a 65% payout ratio. Fortescue continued to make progress on its decarbonisation initiatives, including the operation of a 100MW solar farm at North Star Junction and the deployment of electric excavators and a drill. The company also successfully acquired Red Hawk Mining Limited, integrating the Blacksmith Iron Ore Project into its life of mine plan. Looking ahead, Fortescue has provided FY26 guidance, including iron ore shipments of 195-205 million tonnes, Hematite C1 costs of US$17.50-US$18.50 per wet metric tonne, and capital expenditure of US$3.3-US$4.0 billion for its metals business and US$300 million for its energy business.
