G8 Education Limited, a leading provider of quality early education and care with 399 centres across Australia, announced its results for the half year ended 30 June 2025 (CY25 H1). The company reported a 3.7% decrease in reported Group revenue to $465.4 million compared to the prior comparative period (pcp). Statutory NPAT increased by 12.4% to $22.5 million, while operating EBIT improved by 2.8% to $40.5 million. This result was driven by good cost management in non-safety and regulatory requirements, as well as strategic procurement activity. The company maintained a strong balance sheet position with strong liquidity and low leverage. G8 Education continued to focus on enhancing the family experience, with a 4-point increase in NPS compared to the pcp. The company also announced a fully franked interim dividend of 2 cents per share and an on-market share buyback of up to 5% of issued capital. Looking ahead, the company remains focused on delivering strong operational outcomes and maintaining a disciplined approach to cost management, while navigating a challenging operating environment characterised by affordability and cost-of-living pressures impacting families.
The company expects its full year earnings result to be similar to CY24.
The company remains confident in its core operations and will continue to focus on safety and compliance, quality and education, team, family experience, and operations, including a continued focus on occupancy through enrolment and transition period.
