- EOS part of Leidos Australia team awarded Systems Integration Partner contract for ADF's Project LAND 156
- Project LAND 156 to develop comprehensive counter-drone capability for ADF over several years
- Initial award expected to lead to orders for EOS counter-drone products, with potential for further orders from 2026
Electro Optic Systems Holdings Limited ('EOS') (ASX: EOS) today announces that it is part of the Leidos Australia team that has been awarded the Systems Integration Partner contract as part of the Australian Defence Force's ('ADF') Project LAND 156 Counter-small Uncrewed Aerial Systems. On 19 August 2025, Minister for Defence Industry the Hon Pat Conroy MP announced that the ADF has set aside $1.3bn to acquire counter drone capabilities over the next ten years. As part of that, Project LAND 156 is expected to develop a comprehensive counter-drone capability for the ADF that will evolve over several years. This project is expected to include the acquisition of a command-and-control system, sensors and effectors. The initial award to Leidos Australia is expected to give rise to orders for small-batch evaluation quantities of EOS products, including the Slinger counter-drone remote weapon system. Following an initial phase of evaluation and system design work, the award has the potential to lead to further orders of EOS counter-drone products in the future, with the potential to benefit EOS revenue from 2026 onwards. EOS continues to develop into the world's leading counter drone company, manufacturing the world-leading Slinger counter-drone remote weapon system at its advanced manufacturing facility in Canberra, Australia. This is supported by an extended supply chain of over 100 manufacturing businesses across Australia. EOS welcomes this opportunity and the investment it represents in the Australian defence manufacturing industry.
