Boom CEO to Depart and Interim CEO Appointed
- Boom Logistics CEO Ben Pieyre has stepped down from his role
- Lester Fernandez, Director of Operations, appointed as Interim CEO
- Boom Chair Kieran Pryke to have increased involvement during transition period
Boom Logistics Limited (ASX:BOL) has announced that Mr Ben Pieyre has stepped down from his roles as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, effective immediately. To ensure a smooth transition, Boom's Director of Operations Lester Fernandez will assume the role of Interim CEO, effective immediately. Boom's Chair, Mr Kieran Pryke, stated that Lester Fernandez has been with Boom since September 2022 and has extensive experience in the crane industry. Lester has participated directly with the Board during his time with Boom, and his industry experience, people skills, and commitment to Boom mean he is well placed to serve as Interim CEO. To provide continuity and ongoing support alongside the management team, Mr Pryke will have increased involvement in the business during the transition period. Mr Pryke has over 25 years' experience in the property industry and will receive no additional director fees during the transition period. A comprehensive internal and external search for a new CEO will commence, with a permanent appointment expected to be made later in 2025.
