Aurum Resources (ASX: AUE) has announced that through its wholly-owned subsidiary Plusor Global Pty Ltd, it has signed an agreement to own 35% registered share capital of Ivorian local company Major Star Plus Sarl ('MSP') and earn up to 87% interest in three of MSP's permit applications ('MSP JV permits'). This will grow the landholding at both Aurum's 2.41Moz Boundiali and 0.87Moz Napié Gold Projects in Côte d'Ivoire. The three MSP permit applications include: 1) Application No.0791 covering 114.53km2 adjacent to Aurum's Boundiali South Tenement, 2) Application No.0793 covering 99.12km2 adjacent to Aurum's Napié gold project, and 3) Application No.0804 covering 254.97km2 in central Côte d'Ivoire. The staged earn-in agreement allows Aurum to earn from 35% project interest to 95% interest in the exploration phase and 85.5% to ~87% interest in the mining exploitation phase. Aurum will work closely with MSP to facilitate the grant of the exploration licences and commence initial exploration programs, including diamond drilling, to advance exploration towards potential new gold discoveries.
