Pro Medicus Achieves Authority to Operate from U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs
- PME achieves Authority to Operate (ATO) from U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs
- ATO is for Visage 7 | CloudPACS in the Veterans' Affairs Enterprise Cloud
- Visage has successfully demonstrated, documented, tested and validated rigorous Federal security controls
Pro Medicus Limited, a leading healthcare informatics company, announced that its wholly owned U.S. subsidiary, Visage Imaging, Inc. ('Visage'), has been granted an Authority to Operate (ATO) for the Veterans Affairs Enterprise Cloud (VAEC), by the U.S. Department of Veterans' Affairs, for Visage 7 | CloudPACS, the cloud-based implementation of the Visage 7 Enterprise Imaging Platform ('Visage 7'). By securing this Agency ATO, Visage has successfully demonstrated, documented, tested and validated rigorous Federal security controls. Achieving VAEC ATO is a significant, multi-year milestone in Visage Imaging's journey working with the Veterans' Health Administration (VHA). Dr Sam Hupert, CEO of Pro Medicus, stated that the company is honored to work with VHA on their journey to the cloud and that the ATO, which has been years in the making, is the final sign-off to enable the transition of the current on-premise implementation of Visage 7 to the VAEC. Visage exhibited Visage 7 at the 2025 Defense Health Information Technology Symposium (DHITS) in Nashville, TN, demonstrating the platform to federal health information technology physicians and professionals from the VHA and Defense Health Agency (DHA).
