Synertec Corporation Ltd (ASX: SOP) has announced that Santos Limited (ASX:STO) has ordered another Powerhouse microgrid system for a key gas development site in remote Queensland, Australia. This follows several other Powerhouse systems which have been successfully installed and are operating seamlessly for the GLNG JV in the Surat-Bowen Basin. Powerhouse is an intelligent, 100% renewable islanded microgrid, developed by Synertec. Its unique AI-driven Predictive Intelligence control system, which is undergoing global patent-protection, enables highly reliable continuous power for critical industrial-scale applications in remote locations, with no fossil-fuel back-up. The availability of the system is guaranteed by Synertec and is proven to provide more reliable and lower cost energy than traditional thermal or hybrid systems, and is emission-free. Synertec has successfully delivered multiple Powerhouse systems into the GLNG JV operations in Queensland, Australia. This latest system consists of dual, independent battery houses and fully redundant control systems and is similar in size to other Santos systems. It will be deployed to an important remote greenfield development site, nearby existing Powerhouse units in the Surat-Bowen Basin. The system is expected to be on site and contributing to Synertec's revenue in Q4 FY26. Key commercial terms were already defined between the two parties, and include a Build, Own, Operate and Maintain (BOOM) delivery model with flat monthly rental over a minimum term of three years, with an accepted asset life of 15 years.
