Washington H. Soul Pattinson and Company Limited ('Soul Patts') and Brickworks Limited ('Brickworks') have provided an update on the proposed merger between the two companies. Subject to the required majorities of shareholders approving the respective schemes of arrangement at meetings on 10 September 2025, the Supreme Court of New South Wales will hear the applications for approval of the schemes on 12 September 2025. If any shareholders wish to oppose the approval of the schemes, they must file and serve a notice of appearance in the prescribed form, together with any affidavit on which they wish to rely, at least one day before the Second Court Hearings.
