Beetaloo Energy Provides Carpentaria-5H Operations Update
- Successfully stimulated Carpentaria-5H well in July 2025
- Focused on cleaning up well and managing flowback to prioritize water production
- Observed substantial associated gas flows during clean-up phase
Beetaloo Energy Australia Limited has provided an update on the operations of its Carpentaria-5H well. The company successfully stimulated the well in July 2025, with 67 stages across a 2,955 metre lateral length of the wellbore. During the clean-up phase, Beetaloo Energy has been focused on returning pumped water to the surface while maintaining the quality of the fracture network to optimize long-term gas productivity. The company has observed substantial associated gas flows during this clean-up period and has continued to see gas flows increase. The well has now been shut in for a 'soaking' period prior to the commencement of the IP30 flow test, with the results expected to be announced in October 2025. Beetaloo Energy has applied a conservative flowback strategy to prioritize the production of pumped water and maintain the quality of the fracture network, which the company believes will optimize the IP30 flow test and the sale of appraisal gas to the NT Government commencing in mid-2026.
