- Results demonstrate strong alignment with current Mineral Resource Estimate model
Astral Resources NL (ASX: AAR) is pleased to report assay results for the first 17 holes (2,030 metres) of a 99-hole (10,000-metre) 12-metre by 12-metre in-fill program at the flagship Theia Deposit, part of the 100%-owned Mandilla Gold Project. Best results include 32 metres at 10.78g/t Au from 50m including 3 metres at 99.90g/t Au, 8 metres at 1.11g/t Au and 2 metres at 95.88g/t Au, and several other broad intercepts of over 1g/t Au. The results demonstrate a very strong correlation to the current Theia Mineral Resource Estimate of 33.3Mt at 1.1g/t Au for 1.15Moz of contained gold. The 10,000-metre program aims to in-fill an 80-metre by 120-metre area of the Stage 1 open pit as contemplated in the Mandilla Preliminary Feasibility Study. Astral also provided updates on exploration activities at the Spargoville Project and upcoming programs at the Mandilla and Feysville projects.
Astral is continuing the 99-hole in-fill program at Theia, with a second phase of 3,000 metres of diamond drilling planned to target high-grade structures within the deposit. These programs are expected to be completed within the next 8-12 weeks and are essential to de-risk the development of the Mandilla Gold Project.
