Soil Sampling Outlines New Gold Zones at Tole and Dadjan
Key Points
  • New 2.3km-long zone of coherent soil anomalism at NE Tole, to be drill tested
  • Assay results from Tole include up to 1,000 ppb Au
  • Soil sampling at Dadjan identifies new zones with values up to 923 ppb Au
Full Summary

DeSoto Resources Limited (ASX:DES) has announced further exploration results from its Dadjan and Tole Projects in Guinea. At the Tole Project, recently completed soil sampling has delineated a coherent zone of gold-in-soil anomalies extending 2.3km in length. The results confirm good continuity of mineralisation between previously identified zones. Assay results from across the Tole area include values up to 1,000 ppb Au. The company plans to test the NE Tole zone in the upcoming drilling program, following a trenching program now underway. At the Dadjan Project, the soil sampling program has produced encouraging results, especially in the southwest of the tenement where values of up to 923 ppb Au have been identified. Soil sampling is continuing in the northwest of the Dadjan tenement, and two trenches have been completed with further trenches currently underway. The company is also continuing to explore its broader 934km2 Siguiri land holding with further work across multiple projects.

Outlook

The company is planning a maiden drilling program at the Tole Project following the completion of the current trenching program. Ongoing soil sampling and trenching will also continue to advance the Dadjan Project.
