Eclipse Metals to Unlock Greenland Rare Earth Potential
- Executes drilling services contract for diamond core drilling program at Ivigtût and Grønnedal rare earth and critical minerals sites
- Program to focus on key zones within historical Ivigtût mine precinct and Grønnedal carbonatite complex
- Greenland emerging as critical for rare earth and critical mineral exploration
Eclipse Metals Ltd (ASX: EPM) has executed a drilling services contract to undertake a diamond core drilling program at the company's Ivigtût and Grønnedal rare earth and critical minerals sites in southwest Greenland. The program, expected to commence shortly, will focus on key zones within the historical Ivigtût mine precinct and the broader Grønnedal carbonatite complex. The Greenland-based drilling and service team will employ a modern track-mounted drill rig for a 30-day, double-shift program. Site preparation activities are advancing, together with refurbished infrastructure and crew accommodation, and essential utilities are being readied to ensure smooth mobilisation. Eclipse's Ivigtût Project, covering the Ivigtût mine and Grønnedal prospects, is uniquely located with direct port access, existing infrastructure, and proximity to Europe and North America. Greenland is emerging as critical for rare earth and critical mineral exploration, aligned with international efforts to diversify supply chains away from traditional centres of production.
Eclipse is well-positioned to demonstrate the scale and quality of its Greenland prospects and advance this campaign to build further value for its shareholders.
