The Environmental Group Limited (ASX: EGL) has announced that its subsidiary EGL Baltec has secured a new $9.3M contract to supply two large Gas Turbine Diverter Bypass Exhaust Systems to Spanish EPC TSK for the 800MW Manzanillo Energy Consortium Power Plant Project located in the Dominican Republic. EGL Baltec will undertake this work over the next 12 months, with delivery expected in September 2026. The project will supply much-needed power to the Dominican Republic, including a bypass stack to enable operation in peaking mode, giving the client more operating flexibility. EGL's unique silencer design has been able to meet the stringent noise limit requirements while optimizing turbine performance. Gas Turbines are widely used to support the Renewable-Energy Sector by supplementing peak load energy requirements, and EGL Baltec's expertise in acoustic technology, silencer design, and noise measurements has enabled a world-class product. This contract win brings the value of contracts won by EGL Baltec year-to-date to approximately $19.7M, setting EGL Baltec up for strong performance in the current and following financial year.
This contract win adds $9.3M in revenue to EGL Baltec's performance in the current and following financial year.
EGL CEO Jason Dixon stated that there will be further similar opportunities in the future with clients looking for improved operational flexibility of proposed combined cycle power plants that enables the use of high efficiency large gas turbines to provide power backup for large scale renewables.
