ReNerve Ltd is expanding its product portfolio to include a new range of Empliq products, which will include dermal and amniotic tissue repair solutions. This move is aimed at expanding the company's revenue growth opportunities by targeting the same surgical markets that currently use its NervAlign nerve repair products. The Empliq products are designed to provide a supportive natural barrier for wound closure, especially in chronic wound care. They enable rapid, non-pathologic healing and remodeling, and provide a reservoir of growth factors and cytokines to help kick-start the healing process. The products are flexible, pliable, and easy to apply, with a high sterility assurance level and low inflammatory response.ReNerve is partnering with Berkeley Biologics, a high-assurance, high-quality supplier of a range of allografts for orthopedics, trauma, dental, and wound care. The partnership will allow ReNerve to efficiently scale production while maintaining high product quality, and leverage Berkeley's inventory management services to ensure compliance with US regulations for human cellular and tissue-based products (HCT/Ps).The Empliq product range includes the Empliq Deep-Layer Dermal Matrix, Empliq AmnioLite (single-layer amniotic membrane), Empliq AmnioDuo (double-layer amniotic membrane), and Empliq Placental (placental allograft including amniotic membrane and chorion). These products are designed to address a variety of applications, including diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, pressure injuries, surgical wounds, breast reconstruction, tendon augmentation, abdominal wall repair, and hernia repair.ReNerve plans to launch the Empliq Deep-Layer Dermal Matrix at the American Society Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) Annual Meeting in October 2025, followed by the launch of the Empliq Amniotic & Placental Allografts in the fourth quarter of 2025, after distribution training.
