Diamond drilling update, Sybil Epithermal Au
- Diamond drilling program - 9 diamond holes (599.1m) of a 14 planned diamond hole program (~1,135m) now complete at the Francis Creek prospect
- Multiple epithermal veins intersected - up to 3 vein systems intersected in drilling, with individual vein intersections up to 9m in thickness
- Encouraging vein textures observed - classic 'boiling zone' epithermal textures including colloform, crustiform, cockade and moss textures observed
Sunshine Metals is making good progress on the first diamond drilling program at Sybil (100% owned), part of the Ravenswood Consolidated Project. The drilling is targeting low-sulphidation epithermal gold mineralisation within the A and Main Veins at the Francis Creek prospect. A newly interpreted structure, the Splay Vein, located between the A and Main veins, has also been routinely intercepted. Early results are delivering critical geological information on vein orientation, thickness and textures. This data will directly drive future targeting across the district. The diamond drilling is progressing well, with the first 9 diamond holes (599.1m) of a 14 hole program (~1,135m) now complete at Francis Creek. Multiple epithermal veins have been intersected, with up to 3 vein systems encountered in drilling. Individual vein intersections up to 9m in thickness have been observed. Encouraging vein textures have been observed, including classic 'boiling zone' epithermal textures such as colloform, crustiform, cockade and moss textures. Furthermore, marcasite, an iron sulphide associated with the high-grade ore at Pajingo, is also observed in colloform banding and vug fill. First assays are expected in early October 2025, with samples from the first 4 drill holes currently at the laboratory. The program is likely to complete in early October 2025, with diamond holes being logged on site and transported to the Sunshine warehouse in Charters Towers for cutting and sampling.
The Company has a busy period ahead including ongoing mining studies at Liontown Au, metallurgy results and resource upgrades at Liontown Au, VTEM results at Coronation, and the release of Sybil drilling results in October 2025.
