The Board of Lakes Blue Energy has provided an update on the drilling operations at the Wombat-5 well, side-track-2 (ST-2), in the Gippsland Basin, Victoria. As of 8:00 am AEST today, the well has reached a depth of 3,052 mRT MD and 1,421 mRT TVD, with a horizontal length of 1,500m. The well is currently targeting the Strzelecki Formation. The contractor is now running into the hole to conduct a clean-up run to prepare the hole for fishing tools to be run. Once the fishing tools are run, there are a number of options to deal with the bottomhole assembly. The company has reported zero lost-time injuries (LTIs) during the drilling operations.
