New assay data upgrades high grade zone at Happy Valley
Key Points
  • New screen fire assay data shows positive and negative grade variances, with key intervals seeing strong upgrades
  • Drilling continues at Happy Valley, with the deepest hole to date aiming to extend mineralization down-plunge
  • Maiden drilling to commence at the previously undrilled Queen of the Hills and Sheard's Reef prospects
Full Summary

Advance Metals Limited (ASX: AVM) has provided an update on ongoing high-impact exploration activities at the Myrtleford Project in northeastern Victorian Goldfields, Australia. The Company recently conducted a gold re-assaying campaign across the first five holes drilled at the Happy Valley Prospect, employing a screen fire assay method for all samples initially exceeding 0.5g/t gold. The screen fire assay method is considered more precise than the conventional fire assay techniques initially used, due to the larger sample mass and separate analysis of the coarse and fine fractions. The revised intervals showed both positive and negative variances, with an overall modest increase in gold grade observed. Of particular significance were the results for the two highest-grade intervals returned to date, with AMD001 seeing an increased grade of 29% to 8.2m at 28.8g/t and AMD003 increasing 15% to 7.5m at 55.0g/t. The Company has also received initial fire assay results from further shallow peripheral holes completed in the upper portion of the Happy Valley system, including new high-grade intervals. Drilling is continuing at Happy Valley, with the hole currently in progress set to be the deepest yet drilled, with the potential to extend mineralization up to 80 meters down-plunge. The current footprint of the Happy Valley Prospect represents only a small portion of the larger 13-km trend, and maiden drilling programs will commence at the previously undrilled Queen of the Hills and Sheard's Reef prospects immediately following the completion of the current hole.

Outlook
