Magmatic Resources Ltd has completed its maiden drilling program at the Weebo Gold Project in the Eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia. The program focused on several advanced targets, comprising approximately 3,192 metres in total, including 743 metres of RC drilling at the Scone Stone prospect and 2,446 metres of air-core drilling at the Ockerburry prospect. At Scone Stone, the drilling was designed to confirm the orientation of the core higher grade mineralisation, but very hard ground conditions limited the drilling to a single line of holes. At Ockerburry, the drilling successfully tested the mineralisation associated with the Ockerburry Fault zone contact. Drill samples have been dispatched to the laboratory, with first assay results expected within two weeks. The company has also applied for a new 60 square kilometre Exploration Licence that is contiguous with its current tenements, expanding the total tenure to 250 square kilometres. Magmatic's Managing Director, David Richardson, expressed his delight at the completion of the maiden drilling program and stated that further drilling is planned in the coming months after the initial assay results are received.
The company has budget approval and planning has commenced for subsequent air-core and RC drilling in November to follow-up the current and planned work, as well as test deep targets at the Otto prospect.
