Cryosite Acquires Strategic Warehouse Facility
- Acquisition of freehold warehouse facility in Auburn, NSW
- Expands capacity to support growing client demand and business operations
- Secures long-term strategic control and operational resilience
Cryosite Ltd (ASX: CTE) has announced the acquisition of a strategic freehold warehouse facility at 100 Adderley Street West, Auburn, NSW. The acquisition represents a significant milestone in Cryosite's short and long-term growth strategy, providing critical additional capacity to support growing client demand and the expansion of business operations. The new site will add over 100% usable warehousing and storage capacity to the business, addressing the capacity constraints at Cryosite's current Ferndell Street facility. The property's strategic location, operational fit, and freehold ownership provide long-term security of tenure and strategic control over Cryosite's operations. The acquisition will be funded with existing cash reserves and a new debt facility, and is expected to be more cost-effective than leasing comparable facilities in Western Sydney. The acquisition presents opportunities for Cryosite to expand its storage and processing capabilities, explore new revenue streams, and enhance business continuity through a second licensed facility to support international pharmaceutical clients.
The acquisition is expected to result in additional holding and interest costs in the near term, with revenue contributions expected as the site is progressively activated.
The acquisition of the strategic warehouse facility positions Cryosite to capitalize on the rapidly expanding demand for storage of Investigational Therapies & Biologicals in Australia, and will drive long-term shareholder value.
