 Strong Pathfinder Assays from Centurion
Key Points
  • Silver assays up-to 4.57 g/t from partial leach assays
  • High silver associated with elevated W, Mo, Re, Cu & Zn
  • Results highlight potential for nearby precious &/or base-metal deposits
Full Summary

Buxton Resources has reported highly encouraging results from end-of-hole partial leach assaying of drillhole CN002DD at the Centurion Project. The assays show distinctly anomalous levels of silver, tungsten, molybdenum, rhenium, copper and zinc compared to background material. Comparison with total leach analysis indicates a chemical dispersion anomaly has been intersected, suggesting the potential for nearby sulfide mineralisation. The very high silver levels indicate the source is likely within hundreds of metres. Mechanical dispersion testwork on a magnetic concentrate from the hole also returned an anomalous gold result. Ongoing analysis, including petrology, micro-XRF and heavy mineral separate analysis, will help assess the significance of these findings. An MT survey is also planned to map the basement interface, which along with the pending assay results, will inform future drill planning.

Outlook

Buxton is undertaking detailed analysis of the material from CN002DD to assess the prospectivity of the source region. An airborne MT survey is also planned to map the elevation of the basement interface, which together with the pending assay results, will inform future drill planning at the Centurion Project.
