OpenLearning Limited (ASX: OLL) has signed a software-as-a-service (SaaS) agreement with the University of the Philippines Manila (UP Manila), the highest ranked university in the Philippines. Under the agreement, which has an initial term of one year and is renewable annually, UP Manila will adopt OpenLearning's learning management system (LMS) for a minimum of 10,000 students. The platform will be used for both lifelong learning initiatives and for micro-credential programs offered to on-campus students. UP Manila is one of eight constituent universities of the University of the Philippines (UP) system, the country's national university and its largest network of public higher education institutions, serving more than 60,000 students nationwide. This agreement marks OpenLearning's first with a public university in the Philippines, representing a strategic entry into the country's extensive public higher education sector, which comprises more than 233 public universities and colleges serving approximately 1.64 million students.

The minimum annual fees payable under the SaaS agreement between OpenLearning and UP Manila are A$30,000 per year for the initial term of one year.

The selection of OpenLearning by UP Manila is expected to be publicized online and the company believes that the agreement should be disclosed on the ASX as it is considered strategically important as OpenLearning's first agreement with a public university in the Philippines.
